IDD Therapy

On the 30th April 2020 I managed to book an appointment with @OsteoSteve at Active Therapy in Cirencester. Now, I live near Newbury in Berkshire so an hour in the car is exactly what my back wasn't happy to do but as he came highly recommended I thought I would give it a go.

Steve spent a long time going through a thorough history, not just of my spine, hobbies and aspirations of what kind of activities I wanted to return to, but also previous history.

The outcome of my first session was some kinetic and functional testing, small adjustments but also a starter session on the IDD Decompression Therapy machine.

I have now been under this course of Therapy for 3 months and was pain free road cycling, completed a 2 week tour of Northern England on my motorcycle and most importantly not fearing what my life holds ahead of me with a ruptured disc.

Why choose IDD Therapy?

  • Current treatment is not working

  • Want to stop taking painkillers

  • Seeking long-term pain relief

  • Want to return to normal daily activities

Typical candidates for IDD Therapy are people who have back or neck pain and may have tried various other treatments without success.  They may be taking pain medication and may be considering invasive treatments such as injections or in extreme cases, surgery.
